Long time no update

Well I wont’ go through all the boring Thanksgiving updates, nothing really excited happened. Just had dinner at my aunt’s place and saw my cousins. Ate some good dip, a lil bit of ham and turkey, and that was it. =P

Did have fun over at Athony’s pad the night before though. Crazy stories and gifts, hehe.

Just played that link that Alison had in her journal. (Captain Underpant’s Shooter). I scored 117 MILLION points (had to emphasis the million for Wade). I’m an official Wasteband Warrior. *Flex* “You truely know how to fight for truth, justice, and all that is pre-shrunk and cottony. I salute you!”. I don’t want to play the game again, so tell me if there’s something better than that score….haha.

New York in a few days. I printed up some stuff for all the NBC shows (unfortunately David Letterman isn’t filming this week, booo). But the shows I’m considering going to for NBC are either Conan O’Brian, or even better, Saturday Night Live!! SNL would be awesome to see live….it’s just too bad I haven’t watched it in awhile (dumb NBC and their Cable 3 thing now, blah!). But yeah, getting ready for cold cold cold weather. 30 something degrees….yeck! But if I get to see snow, whoohoo! =P

Personality Tests

Oh geez, I just took this personality test at http://www.humanmetrics.com/, and it seems right on the dot….I’m a hardcore manager with a stick up my butt!!

My type is:
ESTJ
Extroverted: 1
Sensing: 33
Thinking: 11
Judging: 22

Supervisor Guardians [ESTJs] are squarely on the side of rules and procedures, and they can be quite serious about seeing to it that others toe the mark—or else face the consequences. They do not hesitate to give their stamp of approval, nor do they withhold their directions or suggestions for improvement. Like seasoned, stalwart umpires, Supervisors will set their jaw and make the call on anyone who steps up to bat. They even feel obligated to do so, and they’re sometimes surprised when others don’t seem grateful for being set straight.

Comprising at least ten percent of the population, Supervisors go by experience and that is what counts, not speculation and experimentation, and certainly not fantasy. They keep their feet firmly on the ground and make sure that those under their supervision do the same, whether employee, subordinate, offspring, or spouse. If others wish to fool around and daydream, fine, as long as they do it on their own time—which means after the job is done. But if they fritter away their time while on duty, they should not be surprised when the Supervisor calls them on the carpet. The top sergeant will not put up with such nonsense.

Supervisors are gregarious and civic-minded, and are usually key players of their community. They are generous with their time and energy, and very often belong to a variety of groups, supporting them through steady attendance, but also taking a vocal leadership role. Indeed, membership groups of all kinds attract ESTJs like magnets, perhaps because membership satisfies in some degree their need to maintain the stability of social institutions. Like all the Guardians, ESTJs worry a good deal about society falling apart, morality decaying, standards being undermined, traditions being lost, and they do all they can to preserve and to extend the institutions that embody social order. Supervisors are so in tune with the established institutions and ways of behaving within those institutions, that they have a hard time understanding those who might wish to abandon or radically change them.

————————-

See, sounds like I’m a “stick to the rules” kinda guy. OR ELSE. Which I guess is pretty true. Bleh, gives me a bad image in my head though. Some other site said these statments:

ESTJs are joiners. They seek out like-minded companions in clubs, civic groups, churches and other service organizations. The need for belonging is woven into the fiber of SJs. The family likewise is a central focus for ESTJs, and attendance at such events as weddings, funerals and family reunions is obligatory.

ESTJs have an acute sense for orthodoxy. Much of their evaluation of persons and activities reflects their strong sense of what is “normal” and what isn’t. ESTJ humor is frequently centered around something or someone being off center or behaving abnormally.

ESTJs promote the work ethic. Power, position and prestige should be worked for and earned. Laziness is rarely viewed with ambivalence nor benevolence by this type.

The ESTJ is outspoken, a person of principles, which are readily expressed. The ESTJ is not afraid to stand up for what she believes is right even in the face of overwhelming odds. ESTJs are able to make the tough calls.

Occupations attracting ESTJs include teaching, banking, political office, and management at all levels.

Whooo, can you imagine me in Political office?

2004 Elections: Randall Wong for President! (erm, no thanks) haha

Thanksgiving Potluck for AACF

Well today we had our thanksgiving potluck night for AACF. It was held in our weekly room, as we weren’t able to get access to someone’s house this year to hold it (the last few years we had it at Michelle Shih’s, but no one could supply us a place this year, so we just had it on campus. It made it easier to get to for most people. =) ). Anyways, it was pretty good. I mad Stove Top stuffing, haha. It’s cheap, and pretty fast, and from getting home from work at 5:30, I was able to make it REALLY quick and bring it along. Lots of neat dishes, best of all was the plate of korean beef that David brought. David also led worship today with James, and did a few songs on giving thanks to God. I forgotten my camera at home again, so I couldn’t take pictures of the delicious food and good fellowship as well. All in all, a good night, had a lot of fun just talking with people and eating some grub.

Afterwards, we didn’t go to our pretty much weekly hang out of Tapioca Express (and especially since they have “Holiday Hours” of only open till 7pm (though there was still someone there)), but instead we went over to James, Ryan, and Alvin’s place. We hung out there, watched some TV, and played some game that I don’t know the name of. Basically, it’s like spoons, but if you lose, you’re down to Level 1. If you’re on Level 1, and you talk to anyone higher than you and they respond in anyway (either nodding, talking to you, or answering a question from you) that person is now the same level as the other person (So, if a Level 1 person talked to a Level 0 person and they responded, the person who responded is now Level 1 as well). There are 7 levels as well. If you lose again (didn’t pick up the spoon) on Level 1, You’re now Level 2, and so on, till Level 7, on which whoever gets there first, loses the game. Unfortunately today, I was that person. Man I suck at spoons. =( Three others were on Level 4, one was on Level 3, and one was on Level 2. I dragged those 3 of them down to Level 4 though…beware of me, I’m sneaky. =P
So yeah, as the loser, they made a nice lil concoction for me. It was pretty bad. They didn’t tell me what it had in it till afterwards (pickle juice, soy sauce, peppers, pork something or other, tapioca balls, rice wine, and garlic salt). I sip’d a little bit of it before I had to chug it and it was pretty nasty. When I got to chugging it, I held my nose, and downed all of it cept the tapioca balls. It didn’t taste as bad when I held my nose, Praise the Lord.

So yeah, now it’s late, time for sleeeeeep…z.zz.Z.z.z..

current mood: sleepy

Today at Berean…

Well I read some today at Berean. I saw a book that I’ve seen, maybe…20 times before at Berean, but never really picked it up and looked at it. It was a book that went through the events of Columbine. I read through parts of it, mostly the part where it talked about the life of Cassie Bernell. Some things I’ve failed to realize: The Columbine shooting happened April 20, 1999, almost 4 years ago now….never thought it’s been that long now. Supposedly the whole thing about Cassie being asked the question “Do you believe in God?” was false, according to this book. They’re saying that through different people, they learned that it was another girl that they asked this question to, and that she was shot, but still lived. Other eye witnesses say that it was Cassie who they asked the question to as well as the first girl though. So yeah, kinda makes me feel a lil down cuz of that. I know that God was pleased with her in any way, and that she’s with Him now.

On a side note, in the book they also had pictures from Columbine, mostly taken from the writer of the book. In one it had a picture of the two Cohen brothers, performing the song “Columbine, Friend of Mine” for the last time. I remember hearing that song long time ago, and I like it a lot. It was on one of my CDs, but now I don’t remember which one it was on… If anyone remembers, please let me know. Thanks.
