Tomlin proclaims “Not To Us”, AACF is Breaking the Silence

Well today at work we got in the new Chris Tomlin album. Even though it’s not supposed to go on sale until next tuesday, I snuck a copy out. whooooo. It’s pretty good, but I didn’t intially hear too many usable songs for worship. It’s different from his first, as it seems to have a few more “rockish” tunes on it, with fast breaks, and “air drops” as I call them.

“Air drops” are basically when you cut the music, sing a beat or two, and come back in full force. I don’t know if that’s actually the technical term for it, but I like it, hahaha.

The first meeting of AACF took place tonight. These years theme is “Breaking the Silence” and I have a cool song for it too. That song “Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord/I Will Not Be Silent” seems really good, hahaha. Well I’m set to do worship next week, so maybe I’ll try for that one, and see how it goes. Just for reference, and to make this journal a bit longer, I’ll type out the words of that song for ya, and leave ya with that to ponder on.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth (x2)

The flowers of the field, are crying to be heard
The trees of the forrest are singing
And all of the mountains with one voice
Are joining the chorus of this world

And I will not be silent, no
I will not be quiet anymore
I will not be silent, no
I will not be quiet anymore

Running through the forest, and dive into the lake
Bare feet on beaches wide
Standing in the canyon with painted hills around
And the wind against my skin
Every ocean, every sea, Every river, every stream
Every mountain, every tree, every blade of grass will sing

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth
