Talking about what others have posted about on the net.

Can I get a BLT, with a slice of…

Heh, I just watched Justin Lin’s, “Better Luck Tomorrow” and just wanted to open a dicussion on it. Anyone else watch it? Anyone else think that the character Ben, slightly resembles Koo? haha (I started thinking about it, and maybe it’s a combination of Koo and I, lol, I dunno, I’m weird).

Pretty good movie, very interesting, and kinda dark. I’m glad to see MTV take a chance with it, and helping to put it in theaters all over the country. The audience where I viewed it was mostly asian, yet there were a bunch of caucasian folk who watched it. Strangest of all, I saw in a row right behind us that there was an older caucasian couple (probably mid 50s or 60s) who watched the movie. I almost wanted to ask them what they thought. The acting was ok, not superb, but it probably will open the door for some of the actors and actresses who stared in it.

Off to D&B! (It’s D&B!!!! (sung to the song of “It’s D&D” by some funny dude)

Heh, as if we didn’t get enough D&B last saturday (when the “kiddos” were going to prom), we’re going again today. Derek, Cliff, Lawrence (lisa’s brother), Lisa, and I are gonna head out just in a few minutes to do their power hour thing. Pretty much you pay 10$ for an hour of play. They give you a card where for that hour, you can do as many swipes as you can, but you can only swipe every 60 seconds. I’m going to play Police 911 and Time Crisis 3 mainly. Must beat them both!! =P lol. My legs are going to be so hurting…

On the Road Again….

Heh, well not really, the title just sounded cool and I hoped you would read it.

I love Steve’s CD. Go buy it now!! Click here to buy!. It’s just super. 11 songs, straight from Steve’s heart to God’s, (but songs we can all love and grab on to as well). I’m kinda debating on doing one of them this Sunday (that What Else Can I Do song).

This is week 2, of our 6 week series on The Purpose Driven Life. I’m leading worship along with the band, and the weeks focus is on Worship, so what better week to lead. I have a few songs in mind, and after meeting with Pastor Kevin today, I have a few more. I’m almost at a mix posistion to do two songs. One is that What Else Can I Do song by Steve Fee that I posted in my journal not too long ago. It’s a great song that talks about worship, and declares that there’s nothing else we can do but worship Him. The other song which is new, and I’m thinking about doing is one of Charlie Hall’s songs called “One Thing”. I’ll post the lyrics in the extended entry for ya’ll.

On a side note, OneDay03 is coming up fast. Stupidly, I registered twice. I can’t find my first registration email, so I thought I hadn’t registered, and registered again before the 2nd price-change. Now that it’s after April 18th, it can’t be refunded either, but I can have it transfered to a person. So if any one of you who reads my journal hasn’t registered for OneDay03 yet (full pass with camping), please let me know by emaling me ASAP!

Things are looking pretty good for our OneDay03 trip. There’s about 13 of us who are going to be camping together, and strangely, I’m like the middle man of the whole expedition (I know like 10 of the 13 people going, hah). Fun stuff. It’s kinda hard to coordinate everything though. If you’re interested in camping with us crazy asians, shoot me an email as well. Or post a comment, and join us in our yahoo group, The Road to OneDay03.

Ok, enough for tonight, time for sleep, and another long day tommorrow, oh, I may go to Dave & Busters! w00t w00t!

One Thing by Charlie Hall

Single minded, whole hearted
One thing I ask
Single minded, whole hearted
One thing I ask

That I may gaze upon Your beauty, oh Lord
That I may seek Your holy face
That I may know You in an intimate way
And follow after You all of my days
Follow after You all of my days

All of life, it comes down to just one thing
And that’s to know You, oh Jesus
And make You know…

(based on Psalm 27)

HAPPY EASTER

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter. A time of great celebration with our Lord, Jesus Christ. =)

BTW: I just finished reading the 11th book in the Left Behind series, “Armageddon.” They couldn’t have done a worse ending. And the whole book was full of death!! I almost regret reading it, and think, maybe I should have just read up till the 10th book, lol. At one point during the series (think it was like book 7 or 8) I kept thinking, what if Jesus comes back before all these books are done?? I want to find out what happens to the characters!! lol. Then I thought, well Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye can tell us stories in Heaven I guess about what happens to them. Woulda been neat too, lol. But alas, only about 7 more months till the series it over! Crazy. I started reading them when the 3rd book came out, hehe. A long time now.

Steve Fee’s New CD, “Sacred Space” & 722 stuff

Just ordered Steve Fee’s CD “Sacred Space” this week. (It came out tuesday actually, ordered it tuesday as well). It hasn’t come yet though. Lots of great songs on it. Out of like 12 songs, I haven’t heard like 3 of them, and the rest of them I love, and would love to incorporate into my worship when I lead. I jammed with JD and Helen today after worship practice and played them one of Steve’s songs called “Captivate.” Beautiful song.

I still remember when Lisa and I first heard it and tried to figure out all the words. We had to listen to it like 4 times to get it all (it was kinda hard to figure it out). He’s done that song probably about 3 times now at 7:22 (with this week being the 3rd). Good stuff, I can’t wait for the CD. Unfortunately, I don’t think they’ll be any appearances by Candi Pearson on it, but there may be I guess. Ahhh, how I miss that girl and her great voice….

Oh, I also just saw on the 722 webcast that Anna LaPlaye is leaving 722 and moving back to California after 2 years. Crazy, didn’t know she was from Cali originally. Hopefully things will still run smoothly without her there. She was pretty much in charge of the day-to-day things at 722. Making calls, setting up different teams, organizing people to do things, etc. A real power-house for them. At the same time, this leaves a posistion open… haha, Randall in Atlanta? oh geez…that sounds crazy… but I am pretty crazy, and it does seem fun and an enlightening experience.
